After two and a half years with The Boston Consulting Group, I joined a major hedge fund in Chicago in January 2008.

In 2005, I finished the Ph.D. program in Northwestern University's Department of History with a dissertation on ‘The Old-Law Tradition in Württemberg, 1770–1870’ (abstract). I continue to be strongly interested in legal history and limited-government politics.

In 2001, I graduated from Northwestern University with an M.A. in history and in 2000 from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in history and a minor in chemistry.
